Frequently  Asked  Questions

We are located at 12733 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37934. Click here for a map and directions to First Farragut United Methodist Church.

Our worship service is 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. It also streams on our Facebook page.

Our service includes a time of welcome and announcements, prayers, scripture, a message, and music. Eucharist (communion) is typically offered on the first Sunday of each month. The music on Sundays includes: a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary songs, songs from our One Accord music ministry members, and musicians sharing their talent.

First Farragut United Methodist Church is less formal than many churches. You may see casual, khakis or jeans, or sport coats and dresses.

You will not have to say or do anything if you are a guest. We do encourage first-time guests to stop at our Connection Center directly inside the entrance to receive a gift and information about FFUMC.

We have Sunday School for all ages that meets every Sunday morning from 9:15 a.m to 10:00 a.m. At this time, Sunday School classes are meeting online. For more information about individual classes, please click here.

The first step to get learn more about FFUMC is to meet with the pastors and staff who are available on the first Sunday of each month for an information coffee and snacks meet and greet. We will answer any questions you may have and help you get connected into the many ways of serving and growing in your faith journey.
Next, you are invited to participate in next steps which may include participating in a six week group study using “Disciple’s Path.” This six-week group will address theological and practical questions about membership within First Farragut and the United Methodist Church in general. While membership of FFUMC is encouraged it is not required to fully participate in the life of the congregation.
If you were baptized as an infant or young child and have not made a profession of faith and been confirmed, then you will prepare to profess your faith when you take the membership vows (after participating in Disciple’s Path). If you are a member of another church then you may transfer your membership from that church to a local United Methodist Church. If you are a member of another Christian church that does not transfer membership, we will honor your journey and receive your membership as a reaffirmation of faith, and you will be received as a member. When joining a United Methodist Church, the new member promises to support the Church with his/her prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness. Feel free to talk with First Farragut UMC’s Pastor about becoming a member of the church. She will be able to answer your questions and help you discern your next steps to take.

First Farragut United Methodist Church celebrates an “open” table. All who wish to receive the sacrament are invited to do so, regardless of denominational affiliation or church membership. Gluten-free elements are available on the altar for those who need it. We also welcome children to participate.

We are dedicated to a partnership with parents to lead their children in the exploration of Christian faith. We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where all children are introduced to God and His love for them, laying the foundation to help them build their own relationship with him.
