Sunday School

Sunday School classes for all ages are offered at 10:00 a.m.  Join us!

Children and Youth

Nursery (ages birth to 5-years-old) – Our nursery staff and volunteers are so happy to see your children! We provide childcare (in the Nursery/Pre-K areas downstairs in the Education Wing) during all worship services and the Sunday School hour.  We do encourage children to participate in any and all events, including worship, when the parent feels it is appropriate.

Children (ages 3 through 5th grade) - There are Sunday School classes for all of our children on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. in the downstairs Education Wing.  Each class has age-appropriate curriculum and awesome teachers who can't wait to meet your child!

"Godly Play"(ages 3 through 2nd grade)- During the 9:00 and 11:00 worship hour, children ages 3 through second grade are invited to go with the leader after the Children’s Message to our downstairs Chapel (Room 109) and participate in “Godly Play.”  Based on the Montessori Method, “Godly Play” uses a careful telling of the scripture stories, engaging story figures, and a variety of creative activities to encourage children to seek and find their own answers to their faith questions.

Middle School, Room 203 - Join Leslie Goss and Kerri White at 10:00 a.m. in Youth Central to dig into some exciting Bible stories from a variety of sources, and discuss what they mean for today's Middle School students.

High School, Room 202 - Join Dr. Ken Reese at 10:00 a.m. in Youth Central for a study of the foundational truths of scripture and Christian theology from the book, "5 Minute Theologian," while engaging and participating in thoughtful and meaningful conversation with other High School students.

Adult Classes

Christ and Coffee (Room 200/201)

Our young professionals' ministry seeks to meet the needs of this group with incredible fellowship, and contemporary, relevant teaching from God’s Word.  Our intergenerational and active class is bound together by our commitment to being a church family.  This social loving crowd seeks out ways to meet the needs of our diverse group through fellowship and contemporary and relevant teaching of God's word.

C.O.G.S.S. — Children of God Support System (Library)

This Sunday School group is comprised of women who are mostly former or current teachers, but guests and newcomers from other backgrounds are always welcome!  Presently, we are reading and studying “Finding God in Unexpected Places” by Philip Yancey.  This book talks about finding God at work in everyday situations.

Connexion (Room 209 - Conference Room)

Classes are Bible-based studies that include, but not limited to, historical influences on Christian teaching.  John Marius (986-7761) is the principal leader, but other members will occasionally teach.

Contemporary Christians (Room 204)

We are a friendly, welcoming class who invite you to come and explore a variety of topics relative to current events and contemporary issues viewed from a Christian perspective.  Join us as we discuss sometimes controversial subjects in an open-minded forum.  We sponsor a Compassion International child and make regular contributions to several charities.  Fellowship opportunities are held throughout the year, including a summer picnic and Christmas dinner!

Faithlink (Room 207)

FaithLink Class takes it name from an on-line curriculum that focuses on current events and our response as Christians to these events.  Our class used this curriculum for years, and we still use it on occasion.  Recently, we have turned to several Adam Hamilton video series for our subjects.  Because each video segment is stand-alone, you will find it easy to stop by at any time.  Faithlink class rotates facilitators, and guests are always welcome!

Friends of Faith (Room 210 - Music Room)

The Friends of Faith class focuses on how scripture applies to everyday, ordinary lives — how God calls us to be transformed and live out our faith.  We struggle and celebrate together as we learn more about God’s desires for us.  This Fall, we will study the Book of James (Sept. 13 thru Oct. 11).  Guests and new members are always welcome at any time.  We would love to have you join us!

New Spirit (Room 205)

Though we are fortunate to have a masterful teacher at the helm of every Sunday, shared life's lessons of faith by New Spirit class members round out our robust hour together.  Our study guide this Fall will help us explore lessons from Isaiah, Hebrews, Matthew and Revelation -- lessons that give us unshakable confidence that God will overcome the injustice and chaos of our world.  Please contact Joe and Brenda Bradford (692-0955) or Charlie and Drema Harden (777-9091) for more information or simply join us in Room 205 at 10:00 a.m. Sunday mornings.
