On Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 1:00-3:00 p.m., First Farragut United Methodist Church, 12733 Kingston Pike, will host its seventeenth Christmas Community Day serving neighbor families in our community.
The 17th Anniversary edition of CCD will feature a Toy Center, Children’s Books Center, Photo with Santa Center, Children’s Clothing /Coat Center and a Grocery Center. In 2023, over 100 volunteers served 392 guests who came from Knox, Loudon, Roane, Monroe and other surrounding counties. When the families left, they received a full bag of groceries and household necessities to provide another meal and some non-food extras.
Reservations for this event are preferred and space is limited. Guests have two options to make a reservation. They may come to First Farragut UMC and pick up a reservation card on Friday, Dec. 6 between 9:00 am – 4:00 pm or register online at the link below.
Christmas Community Day is a hands-on Christmas ministry sponsored by the Rita Hommel Endowment Fund and contributions from our congregation and the Chuck Shilling Memorial FISH Grant, Big Kahuna Wings, as well as in-kind donations from local groceries.
