Hope in an Anxious World is a community event for mental health conversations. The event is intended for youth and adults who want to learn more about anxiety.
Occasional anxiety is part of life, but when does it become something more? This conversation is intended to help us recognize signs of anxiety in ourselves and others.
Participants will learn about:
- symptoms of anxiety
- causes (a medical condition, other risk factors including trauma, personality, drugs or alcohol, etc.)
- complications
- prevention
- coping skills and resources.
First Farragut United Methodist Church is a Certified Recovery Congregation through the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Faith-Based Initiative. Hope Rises is a community series that discusses and works to break the stigma of mental health and addiction.
For more information call the church office at (865) 966-8430. Light refreshments will be served.
