Maundy Thursday is the day Christians commemorate Jesus’ time with his disciples in the upper room before his arrest and crucifixion. The word “maundy” comes from the Latin word ‘mandate’ and reminds us of the mandate to celebrate the Lord’s Supper. This service will include experiential stations such as Holy Communion, foot washing, anointing with oil, and other traditional Christian practices.
